About NG Sai Kit

NG Sai Kit started his photographic activities since early 80s. He was a member of the photography group “THE WORKSHOP”, which he founded with his friends in 1984. A year later, he participated "Sensitive . Transitive", a 7-person photography exhibition curated by NG Hon Lam and CHEUNG King Hung of Hong Kong.

From 1989 to 1990, he studied at Derby, G.B. and visited Paris. His photographic works was collected by Bibliotheque Nationale of France. After his returned back to Hong Kong, he participated in the editorial of a non-periodical visual culture publications producted by "THE WORKSHOP” (from 1993 to 1997, eleven issues were published)

His major solo photographic exhibition " J’etais-Ici-Rencontre" was held at Espace Photographique de LaLaverie, Paris, 1996, meantime he was invited by Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography for the exhibition "Asian View, Asia in transition". The same series of works was exhibited in 1998 at the OP fotogallery of Hong Kong in the title of "here, once, I, happen to see".

From 2008 to 2010, he participated in 2 major photographic exhibitions in Hong Kong: "Imaging Hong Kong" and "City Flaneur: Social Documentary Photography".

His works are in the permanent collection of The Hong Kong Heritage Museum. Ng is a founding member of The Hong Kong Photographic Culture Association.
